Forging New Pathways: The Birth of Educating Youth Everywhere(E.Y.E.)

The inception of Educating Youth Everywhere(E.Y.E.) traces back to a humble beginning as a small, yet resilient organization established on the grounds of Clark Atlanta University an HBCU in the spring of 2015. The journey to charter E.Y.E. was far from easy or seamless, but it was undeniably fruitful, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of aspiring education majors during that time. In those early years, E.Y.E. actively engaged in a myriad of initiatives, including participation in organization fairs, hosting test prep workshops, facilitating professional development panel discussions, organizing fundraisers, and much more.

Hear From The Founder & President: Salina Trahan

"The vision for E.Y.E. has always been clear; to nurture this seed of an idea into a thriving nonprofit dedicated to supporting educators worldwide. While we acknowledge the critical need to assist students, the reality is that a significant number of education majors either veer away from the field of education upon graduation or, for those who do enter the classroom, many succumb to burnout and prematurely depart.

There remains a prevalent sentiment that teachers are undervalued for the multitude of hats they wear and the overwhelming responsibilities placed upon them each academic year. As we embark on the journey to formalize and establish a sustainable foundation, our overarching mission is crystal clear: to serve as a comprehensive resource hub that not only supports educators within the classroom but also extends assistance to their lives outside of the classroom.WE have to stand together and recognize that educators are the heartbeat behind every classroom and without them, the system will fail."

Yessss! Educators serve as the heartbeat behind the success of students, schools, and the broader community. Educating Youth Everywhere(E.Y.E.), has the vision to bridge the gaps that educators encounter both at home and within their classrooms. We hope to offer love, program initiatives, understanding, and a compassionate ear to meet the needs of educators everywhere! It is essential to recognize that educators do not leave their profession without reason, and we must prioritize reinvesting in educators to cultivate a healthier and more promising future for our students in the years to come.

We encourage all readers to subscribe to our email newsletter as we would would love to partner. We have our donation portal ready for use to ensure we can start the groundwork to be able to take the next steps to pour back into educators.
